Philip The Talking Pig flies into Australia this week (on a plane) for the final leg of his Pork Talk world tour. Since 2016, when a farmer uploaded a YouTube clip of the extrordinary piglet, Philip has gone on to sell out shows in over 30 countries. Philip may have been the first, but these days he is far from the only pig with the gift of speech. Increasing numbers of pigs across the world have found the ability to speak, a phenomenon Philip attributes to morphic resonance and an ineviatble step in the evolution of a highly intelligent species.
Philip’s rise to fame has not been without controversy. He has been a tireless campaigner against factory farming and has been especially critical of humans’ hypocritical treatment of domesticated animals. Philip’s criticism of dogs has created a backlash in some sections of the community, but Philip is largely unrepentant. “For too long those dimwitted aggresive stinkbombs have enjoyed their unfounded position as demi-gods on this Earth while my brothers and sisters are born into sufferation” he said. For a full list of tour dates head to www.philipthetalkingpig.com
